It’s been a busy summer here at MotorsportReg as we continue to work towards some big improvements later this year. In fact, did you see the sneak peek of the new on-site check-in prototype we’re testing? We’re pretty excited about it! We’ll be testing this prototype at a few key events throughout this year.

We're excited to release the ability for organizers to manage account relationships. This allows you to better manage teams and family members who need to register one another.

Last year we switched to posting in-app release notes much more frequently in our "What's New" widget. Many of you wanted more detail on changes but we let the pendulum swing too far on posting fewer summarized updates. As a result, you might have missed out on additional value while you were heads-down running great events.

Back on April 24th Jonathan Guzzo signed up for an autocross with the Golden Gate Chapter of the BMW CCA and became our 1.5 millionth registration! Very proud moment for all of us here at MotorsportReg and fitting that it came from our very first customer way back in 2002- the Golden Gate Chapter.

A lot has changed since then and we asked our expert, Greg Cirillo, to give us an update. Greg is the Founding Member of HCH Legal, a law firm based in Bethesda, Maryland. When I started writing this I was somewhere over Newfoundland, Canada returning from the Autosport show in central England. It is the European equivalent of the Performance Racing Industry show in Indianapolis with a more focused road racing theme befitting their heritage. The floor is covered with all kinds of club and pro-level cars and most of the Formula 1 grid is on display. It takes discipline to get work done with so much eye candy!

Many clubs and circuits also have booths to promote their respective programs and racing championships to attract drivers for the upcoming season. I met with organizers to talk about MotorsportReg and RaceHero and I kept hearing a particular word that underscored why we've invested so much effort leading up to this announcement today: family.
