Let us help!

Back in 2013 we added a few new additions to our email lists and posted this opt-in box in a few places in MotorsportReg.

Email_Lists

We're using these lists to directly help our organizers and participants. Over the last year these lists have grown like crazy! And more of our organizers are taking advantage of them and seeing great results.

Last minute track specials- 27,000 subscribers!

This list is specifically for attendees looking for a good deal on track time. It can be used by organizers on our Premium plan offering a last minute discount on open track days or HPDEs. We send it to everyone within 300 miles of the venue and generally reach 3,000 to 4,000 people. Below are some of the actual results after sending out an email blast:

Feature Updates - August 2015

Date

August 26, 2015 by Brian Ghidinelli

This week I'm near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin - not to attend an event at Road America (drats!) - but rather for our annual team meetup in Lake Geneva. As a fully remote team we find a late summer week to bring the team together, review our progress and refine our plan for the future. It's a chance to replace phone calls and emoji with face-to-face conversations and meals that leaves us energized to keep pushing forward.

Last month I listed a number of improvements for my programmer friends but I'm back with a larger-than-normal list of improvements and fixes to MotorsportReg, including a sneak peek at a major new feature.

MotorsportReg Updates- June 2015

Date

August 10, 2015 by Brian Ghidinelli

Flexibility is what MotorsportReg is all about. You build your tribe with a particular experience that is everything from where you promote your events to how you greet people at the event to how you treat folks who run afoul of your rules. You can customize large parts of the data you gather with MotorsportReg including the person and attendee profiles using our custom question functionality but one category has remained static: vehicles.

MotorsportReg Updates- May 2015

Date

August 10, 2015 by Brian Ghidinelli

A personal goal this year is to improve my communication with what's changed in MotorsportReg. As you may have seen on the blog and on the site, we've added a couple of people to our team which means things will begin changing at a faster (and better) rate. That means I need to tell you more frequently about the changes both obvious and not-so-obvious. Let's catch up with a series of blog posts starting today.

How to remove the member # box from your registration form

Date

May 6, 2015 by Jennifer Ghidinelli

If you run events and either don't have members or don't care to collect member numbers, you've probably complained to us how much you hate the member # box at the beginning of your registration form. It looks something like this:

member_app_WH

Now, as the instructions below the box say, your attendee can just leave the box blank and move on to your registration form. But we all know that attendees don't read! So we've given you the option to remove this box from your registration form. Here's what this page looks like if you choose to remove the box:

Driver Assigner Tool - A Breath of Fresh Air for the Time Pressed Organizer

Date

January 14, 2015 by Katie Moosman

Paperwork stress
Before we get started, let me introduce myself. I’m Katie and I’ve been working for MotorsportReg for the past 8 months. Before that, for 6 years I used MSR on a daily basis as an organizer.

Just like many of you - I’ve spent countless hours scrambling before an event assigning my run groups, pairing instructors and gathering paperwork. Anything that could save me precious time before an event was better than gold!

Check out our check-in stats

Date

November 12, 2014 by Jennifer Ghidinelli

Last month we spent a week at the SCCA National Runoffs and of course dropped in on our friends in Registration. Two of our favorite Registrars, Ceci Smith from Cal Club and Terry Roberts from NEDiv, mentioned how much they loooooove the revamped onsite check in tool. That's music to our ears!

After their praise we decided to take a little peek at how much usage the check-in tool is actually getting. Turns out A LOT! And since Brian likes graphs and I like images for my blogs, he put a few together for me based on the last 50,000 check-ins.

check_in_by_day

Not too surprising that the highest check-in days are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but I would have thought Saturday would be the highest.  And it looks like a lot of you are skipping out on work on Fridays...

On to the next graph!

Date

October 16, 2014 by Jennifer Ghidinelli

Even though it was 90 degrees here in California yesterday, I heard that Fall has arrived in other parts of the country and for a lot of organizers, that means driving seasons are winding down. To help you get through your post season, we've put together a list of 7 to-do's you should consider while making the transition to your 2015 season.
