SpeedWaiver continues to get better and better

We’re starting 2021 off strong with more enhancements to SpeedWaiver. With over 200 organizations using SpeedWaiver to sign more than 90,000 waivers, we've been able to collect a tremendous amount of user ideas and feedback. We have released several new features since we last wrote an update here in November.

Minor Waivers

When we first launched SpeedWaiver, our primary focus was obtaining insurer approval to utilize e-signatures for adult waivers. We've heard from many organizations requesting the ability to utilize SpeedWaiver for minor waivers. We're happy to announce that this is now possible.

SpeedWaiver offers the ability for two parents/guardians to electronically sign an event waiver for a minor. As signatures are collected electronically, an additional benefit with this process is that it does not require both parent/guardians to be present in the same location to sign.

At this time we have received approval to activate this process with some but not all insurers. Let us know if you are interested in having minor waivers activated within your account and we'll verify eligibility with your insurer.

Integration to Attendees List

Another opportunity for improvement shared with us by many was a request to better integrate SpeedWaiver within MSR.  With the original release, SpeedWaiver required event staff to use multiple lists to verify registration and waiver details. We have now fully integrated SpeedWaiver into your MSR attendees list. There are several new SpeedWaiver detail columns that can be added to your attendee list view, making it easy to determine who has and has not signed their waiver.

Integration to the Registration Form

Our most recent release removes the requirement for you to send out the SpeedWaiver link for each event in a confirmation email or elsewhere. When an attendee registers for your event, they now have the option to receive the waiver immediately via text message. Upon completion of their event registration, attendees will automatically receive a text message link to complete the signing of their event specific waiver.

Guest Signers

The attendees list also now allows you to include and filter  “guests” that have signed the event waiver. SpeedWaiver allows anyone that shows up to your event (think spectators, parents, crew, etc.) to sign their event waiver electronically – even if they haven’t previously registered on MotorsportReg. You'll be able to filter your attendee list to include or exclude "guests" according to your preferences.

Already using SpeedWaiver? Check out these new features in MotorsportReg. Not signed up yet? Go to www.speedwaiver.com or send us a note at info@speedwaiver.com. As a reminder, all SpeedWaiver fees are waived through 5/31/2021 to help promote safe, efficient, and contact free motorsport events.
