MotorsportReg Product Updates

Since our last product blog post at the end of June, the Product and Engineering team here at MotorsportReg has been at work trying to remove friction on both the attendee and organizer side of MSR. Below are some highlights of what the team has been working on for the past few months.

Registration and Login Flow Enhancements

Enhancements have been made to the registration flow on the attendee side of MSR to enable attendees to register more efficiently. Specifically, we redesigned and optimized the flows for when an attendee is registering and not logged in yet and our general Login page, which you may have noticed. We also redesigned and enhanced the screen that attendees see when they are answering questions that are specific to clubs before they complete registration. These changes have led to smoother registrations and increased conversion rates, meaning more registrations and payments collected by our organizers!

SpeedWaiver Enhancements and Bug Fixes

We have changed the order of operations with SpeedWaiver and MSR. Now, an attendee will have to complete their registration on MSR, then they are sent the text invitation to complete their SpeedWaiver. We had heard feedback that this was causing confusion with attendees thinking they had completed their registration but, they actually had not. Thanks to all who gave us this feedback!

The team also fixed a bug that was not allowing certain Android users to bypass the Camera Access Required screen, which would in turn not allow them to complete the SpeedWaiver.

Some other highlights and things to note:

  • Our team is growing! In the last quarter we hired two new Software Engineers and currently have an opening on the team for a Senior Tech Lead – let us know if you know someone who would be a good fit.
  • We have updated our SpeedWaiver privacy policy.
  • We have updated our Organizer and General terms on MSR.
  • Our team on the content side launched our Motorsport site. You may have noticed it on the MSR homepage, check out some of the great content here if not!
