Q: What’s the best way to organize the options available to my attendees on the registration form?

A: Groups and Branches are tools you can use to arrange the display of options. Use a Group when you want to allow the attendee to select a single package.  Use a Branch when they can select multiple packages.

Here are a couple of examples:

For your upcoming event, you want to include a free t-shirt (sizes S-XXL) with each registration.  Use a Group to allow the attendee to select ONLY ONE free t-shirt by nesting the t-shirt packages underneath the Group icon.  Additionally, you can set the group to be REQUIRED so that the attendee MUST select one of the packages listed underneath it. Check out our help wiki for more information.

If you were selling t-shirts instead, and wanted to allow the attendee to purchase MORE THAN ONE t-shirt, you would nest the t-shirt packages underneath a Branch so that they could buy both a Medium and a Large t-shirt.
