If you caught our end-of-year statistics blog you already know that 900,000 unique visitors looked at events on our National Event Calendar last year!  So just having your events listed on our calendar is a great way to promote it. But that's not enough.

url-300x225There are a million ways to promote an event, but at a minimum, you should be sending email and using social media to announce and encourage people to attend.  And you need to do these things more than once.  It's going to take a little work on your part, but if you're organized, it's easier than you think.  Especially with our handy Event Promotion Calendar.

We created an Excel template to help put some organization and consistency around promoting your events.  Simply enter the date of your event, and the date registration opens and closes, and you'll get a step-by-step guide that includes:

  • When to promote your event
  • How to promote your event (email, social media, etc.)
  • What to say
  • Who to say it to

Easy!  We even provide a link to email and Facebook tips right inside the template for your reference.  So start your 2014 season off on the right foot and download our free template today!
